Augustus Prew

I was watching The Secret of Moonacre before I logged in again this afternoon. I have nothing to critic about it but lets just say I was noticing the Robin De Noir character, the son of the alleged antagonist of the story. But I was furthermore watching the actor behind Robin De Noir–Augustus Prew.

So I went on with my internet research on this young actor. Suprisingly, he is English, he is a Virgo and he is 21. Not so young and not so old either–is very preferable for any fans my age.

Another fact on Augustus Prew is that he played the role of Ali in About a Boy with Hugh Grant way back in 2002. He was that confused boy who’d hang out with this stranger thereby making a lot of complication later and a rather amazing climax of a story.

And another: if you google for images of Augustus Prew…you’ll find the internet database with only a few images of him. Could someone leak more?

Moreover, from the video above, he looks like some kind of sweet shy type actor from how he is responding to the woman behind the camera. But I guess, it’s just probably the nerves getting on him with all the people asking for autographs or some protocol.

What I’d like to see in years to come is that he’d get better roles. He’s got the making of good actor antagonist or an actor for a love-story movie. He’s still 21, he’s got a lot to learn.

One Response to “Augustus Prew”

  1. I totally agree. I watched said moive last night – and he did the character so well I simply HAD to find out who he was.
I thought he was so cute and dare I say slightly clumsy – and his little bowler hat made my day.
I think what he needs is a big shot role. Something advertised long before it comes out ; not unlike the Twilight saga (although I do not like the series itself, it’s done wonders for the actors.)
I’m glad to see I wasn’t the only one a bit dissapointed with the lack of publicity the guy is getting – shame really.
    Best of luck Agustus!
